Does anyone feel they work hard on getting your sims into 5 perfect everyday outfits that they can randomize but they are always switching to either their hot and cold clothes from Seasons? It's beginning to annoy me. At this point, I don't care if my sim is outside in her mini skirt in the snow. I rather see the everyday outfits more than the winter and summer outfits. Sims look dumb hanging in the house with their ski parka on because they don't change their clothes when they come in from the outside. This bothers me more with cold clothes than hot clothes because at least hot clothes can look normal as everyday wear. Advice? Thoughts?

You could turn off clothing category filters and assign any clothes as winterwear

Honestly, I wish that they'd had indoor and outdoor categories for the cold weather outfits or just treated the cold weather clothes like the outerwear category in previous games. Having one cold weather outfit for outerwear and one for inside in your normal alternate outfit set-up isn't good enough, because when a sim has two outfits in a category and they automatically change their clothes to that category, they always pick an outfit at random. Call me obsessive, but I like my sims to wear their warm coats outside and their toasty sweaters inside, not the other way around, and fixing the game's mistake manually really takes me out of my play session.

Ohhhh yes. The seasonal influences on wardrobe bother me. Actually, anything that changes my Sim's clothing to something I didn't intend bothers me. The indoor winter outfits are out of control. On that note, does anyone else feel like the weather is never mildly in the middle anymore? It's always too hot or too cold in my game.

I asked a question similar to this. You can put their swimwear into the 'cold' outfit category if you want. It registers as if they are wearing a snowsuit, heh! I've turned off hot and cold damage in my game anyways.

oh same! It rains or snows in it's given season than ever just a nice sunny day. I am THISCLOSE to disabling the weather.

I really don't mind the seasonal clothing.

I tend to pick outfits for everyday to be suitable for Spring and Autumn and then pick 5 Summer outfits for hot and 5 Winter outfits for cold.

For the cold category I generally choose 1 outfit to bundle up outside in the snow with hat and gloves, then a coat or jacket outfit for when it's not as cold, then the other 3 outfits will be indoor winter woollies.

The worst thing is when you let a sim in a household travel during winter, just to come back home and E V E R Y O N E in the family is sitting there in their winter coats, even though they were all wearing their everyday clothes when you left. Just why? This can't be intentional. Is it really so hard to program them to automatically change into their everyday outfits as soon as they get inside? They did the same in TS3.

I read Carl’s Sims 4 guide, and I thought he said that clothes that Sims (for example) will overheat if their clothes for hot weather aren’t tagged with Hot Weather. I also read the person who said they could wear a swimsuit for cold weather and be fine, and another place I read that a tank top would work too. I’ve never actually played myself, so I don’t know. Can anybody tell me which it is?
