Seeking Back Stories - Fulfilled, thanks!

Okay, finally had time to get into my game!

@Hermitgirl - where do you go for the downloadable saves?
@LadyKyn - not sure how that works, would it transfer the skin into my game? I wouldn't like that to happen.
@Corenren - I picked Mary Jane Flower from your uploaded households... just reminded me of a phase I went through lol.
@Terra - I've never played those games. You have heaps of uploaded households to go through so it's a shame they don't have the descriptions typed in with them. I might just pick one randomly.
@paradiseplanet - lots of great back stories and suggestions there! I fell for your Verne family (not listed above), especially when I read about the mum getting eaten by the cowplant... poor mum. Lol. So they are now in my rotation too!
@MDianaSanders - I should have know to check yours out, as I already follow you on the gallery :) I didn't know about your blog though. I actually already have some of your sims in my game (the Cardwells spring to mind), but I think I'm gonna have to nab Agnes Crumplebottom and a few others.

Nope. Cc doesn't transfer in game at all. Much like if a sim had CC clothing they would just be down in their underwear. :D

So it's nothing like the exchange.

It just defaults to the base game skin and that's all. I tend to put Sims in base game clothing so no one has to worry about dressing them.

sooo I just created several families on a new save to populate newcrest,but didn't upload any because I wasn't sure of the interest level. They're vanilla, and I don't have too many packs, so you might not have to fill in as many gaps. I didn't do extensive backstories for them, just the blurbs like you'd see in TS2, which I feel is a nice starting point but still gives me creative reign.

I was also bored without any storytelling, and this is the second newcrest town I've made. I also have one that I'm doing to replicate pleasantview. ?

But anyway, if you're at all interested I can get back to you with some of their details and maybe upload some? What kind of households are you looking for?

My current Rags to Riches family is only first generation, but I really love their story. I made my sim, Faith, a very confident young woman who went through several retail "phases" working through a furniture crafting phase, clothing store phase, and finally she settled on wall art. In the meantime, I made a family of a male young adult (she later married him) and his kid sister who were both left alone after their parents recently passed away. As a consequence, Letisha (the younger sister) has the erratic trait since she couldn't cope with the tragedy and her older brother had to take care of her. When Faith married Letisha's brother, she adopted Letisha as a sort of sister/daughter. I thought the story added a lot of depth and allowed for Faith to help Letisha grow into a responsible girl (A grade student) as well as grow close to her husband through sharing responsibility for the child. Not a lot has happened, but I really love Letisha and think she'll play a big part as a mentor and aunt to Faith's coming baby.

@whimreaper I love that tale about the brother and sister, I may use that for my game thanks.

@luxsylvan I did look on the gallery but you must have a different name, or no uploads lol. Do let me know if you end up sharing any of them, I'm not fussy about the kinds of households - I just grab what grabs me :D

Don't worry if you don't have time though, as I have a few now to be going on with and was only aiming for around 7 households, which fits in with my ageing and season timescale plan.

@elanorbreton - Sorry you don't find it easy to navigate, my sister uploads many of her households without descriptions because she just uses the Gallery as a backup. She makes lots of beautiful Sims though, so picking one at random could at least find you lots of cool faces.

@elanorbreton yeah, I didn't upload them since I wasn't sure anyone would want them, since I made them for my specific purposes. I'm visiting family but I'll try and upload a couple tonight and edit this comment with some information to help you find them if it turns out you do want them. My gallery name is the same as this one, and aside from the households I'll list below, there are just two houses I've created. I did change my user at one point, so I don't know if that would cause issues?

Edit: I've uploaded the Jones family (two sisters, teen and young adult), the Rodriguez family (young adult couple meant to be a bit snobby and rich), and the Thayer family (two adult parents, a teen, and a child. A close-knit family but also involved with their own lives and hobbies). Happy simming, whether or not they're of use to you. :)
