Here is an update and I included some pics this time.
Angel decided it was finally time to check in on her family, she did after-all promise herself she would protect them and ignoring them for this long was not fulfilling that promise. She didn't go inside she just stood in the dark shadows and observed. Little Gracie was now a child and Charity was an adorable little toddler. Gracie had taken over Angel's old room and she noticed her little sister had kept it exactly the same. Gracie probably missed her terribly and Charity would never even remember her. She felt bad that she had just left them like she did but she didn't want them mixed up with vampires they deserved to live long and happy human lives and they currently weren't getting that. Things had gotten worse then ever , their dad and mom had apparently gotten divorced but still lived together. Angel realized all those texts fro her mom asking her to meet her were for a reason and felt bad she'd ignored them, but it was the best, their mom would need to put all her focus into the two little ones, Angel was a lost cause.
From what Angel could see and hear things were more volatile then ever. She watched as he yelled at Gracie for nothing and then proceeded to stomp into Charity's room and start yelling at her! It took everything Angel had to stop from rushing inside and tearing him apart but she knew that wasn't the way. She did however have some choice words for him when he left the house for work that night. He scoffed and spat at her telling her to stay away from 'his' family. Angel left fuming, and plotting.
Meanwhile what Angel didn't know was she wasn't the only one with plans. Gracie did miss her sister terribly, the sister she used to know who took care of her, taught her to dance and let her watch her paint. The sister that didn't have fangs and glowing eyes. Gracie would never ever forget the day she saw her sister bite her dad. She thought he was dead at first, but he was just fast asleep. Lucky she wasn't along her friend Alexander Goth believed her, his mom had gone missing and he knew dark forces were involved. The two promised each other they would keep researching. Someday Gracie would find a way to cure her sister and hopefully she'd be able to help them find Alexander's mom too. She was just starting her research on vampire lore, but she was in it for the long haul.
Back in FH Angel decides she really needs to make sure she has a team of minions in place not only to assure her eventual standing at the ultimate vampire, but to help her ensure the safety of her family.
She decided it was time to finally choose an offspring and a young girl named Sofia really called to her, the girl looked very innocent and non threatening, which Angel saw as a huge strength. The girl would be underestimated by her foes. Not only that she had a unique talent for stealing things, which would ensure she could get by when it was time for her to leave Angel's place. Angel kept her upstairs with Bella and Don until she completed the transformation and after some quick training, moved her into the house next door. Sofia's cheery nature was a bit much for Angel to handle to living with, but she showed great promise as a vampire, even successfully feeding right away.
After moving Sofia out Angel was feeling abnormally happy and generous so she decided to let Bella and Don out of the attic for the day. Which turned out to be a huge mistake as Bella and Don had both apparently really come to dislike Angel. Bella tried to fight her as Don looked on she defeated the young woman and made sure to tell her how lucky she was to still be alive after that. Angel regretted being nice and allowing them to think they could outsmart her. She knew she had to teach them a lesson and knew just how to do it. She'd teach them a lesson and help her family all at the same time. She lured her father over to the house and then locked him inside. He humiliated himself trying to fight Angel and this time after he was defeated she used her powers, to ensure his humiliation turned into mortification an watched as he dropped dead on the floor right in front of Bella and Don. She immediately locked them back up in the attic and made sure they knew she would do the same to them anytime she wanted to.
Surprisingly she found herself mourning the loss of her father, she fell into a deep depression, she realized this event was truly the moment where she would now leave her family behind forever. They would be okay with the dad gone and she could have her minion Sofia look after them now.
