Sharks

Where has anyone found sharks out in Island Living? I have even tried having a sim (using the needs cheat to keep her out there) all over back floating in shallow to deep waters on different parts of the island, at different times and still have not come across one. I did one day see a tense buff that one had swam near one but it didn't last long as they must have moved fast from the location and I have no idea where it was. Any advice on finding the sharks in the ocean?

    They only show up in deep waters. You need to wait there until one appears. It's pretty unlikely that your sim will die though. Mine had to spend 4 days in a row in the ocean to die by being pulled by the shark. I kept making him happy so he wouldn't die of hunger/low energy while testing this. He got the shark debuff a lot but the shark never tried to pull him within 4 days. Or maybe I was lucky idk.

    I have sometimes seen them while interacting with dolphins. More than once they have approached, scared my sim’s dolphin away, and passed close by, huge and terrifying. The first time I saw one I was really startled, and before I knew it my sim was autonomously swimming for shore.

    They ONLY show if you have object details on high. I figured this out through the help center, and they noted it as a bug. Hope it gets fixed with the next patch. Because I had to get a new computer to be able to play the game with better graphics settings.

    The only one I've seen was in shallow water (snorkeling debth):
