Is there any point in growing plants inside? my sim was growing roses in a planter inside his home but only had 3 flowers bloom i put it outside as it was the flowers season and it shot up to 10 flowe...

One thing you should know if you have the lot trait 'Great Soil' and plan to transfer plants in season outside from planter boxes in a greenhouse. That lot trait, in my experience, only works on plants in planter boxes. You'll see the soil in those sparkling when it's doing it's thing. I've taken plants from planter boxes in a greenhouse and planted them in the ground outside when in season, and they didn't grow as well as in the planter boxes. However, if you put them outside in the planter boxes, they'll get the lot trait benefits and grow more produce while in season.
Others may have had a different experience, but that's what I've discovered across multiple saves with my Sims' gardens. I hope this is helpful. :)
