- ldm27 years agoSeasoned AceI would watch it maybe once, then tune it out or mod it out. It would be a waste of time & resources better spent on the game itself.
- It didn't even occur to me that there's no intro video this time around until I saw this thread.
That said, it would probably get tiring quickly if there was one. - good reminder but also after clicking that yes I remembered that is the exact point my game usually lagged for the first time so maybe its okay it is not there
- LatinaBunny7 years agoSeasoned AceI used mods to skip those in the older games.
- SimAlexandria7 years agoSeasoned AceNo. I can't stand it in earlier versions and it just slows things down.

If there were a video intro, I'd watch it once. But then skip it on all other plays. Wouldn't be bothered if it had one, but I don't care that it doesn't have it. - I did not even realize that there was no intro in tell now, while I kinda miss it it’s to late now I think to add it.

Honestly, I don't particularly care either way. The Sims 1 didn't have an opening video, and I always skipped the videos of past games; after the first time I'd skip TS4's video too.
Sims 1 did have an intro! And it was my favorite one (probably because of the nostalgia... TS2's intro was probably the best out of all of them tbh).
Anyway, I voted No, but I am more neutral about it; If there WAS an intro for TS4, I bet it would be lovely. However, the fact that there isn't one has never bothered me. I think the trailer videos were cool to see before the game's release and that was enough for me! Fortunately, I have a computer that loads the game up in like, ten seconds maximum, but I can imagine how that isn't the case for other players. Like some other people have suggested, maybe there is no intro because it could cause lag in loading the game.- LatinaBunny7 years agoSeasoned AceI've played Sims since Sims 1 (around when Hot Date came out), and the movies do nothing for me, so I don't care if they're taken out or not.
I press skip to a lot of brand-name intro movies for various video games. If it's not an essential cutscene that is actually part the game's story, then I don't care. The Sims are a sandbox and do not have pre-made cutscene stories in the traditional video game way. - Sharooonia7 years agoSeasoned AceI voted for yes even though it would probably just end up being something I would skip. :D
