Not sure if this is the first potential bug I have found or if there is something I am missing. My sim's fun bar is just staying red with the party hat icon next to it. I have him watch tv etc. and the arrow appears on the bar as if its going up but it stays red with the icon next to it... because of this my sim is always tense (unless he gets playful or happy this overrides it briefly but it always reverts to tense).Is there something I am missing or has anyone else experienced this as a bug?? Might have to kill this guy off at this rate and get her a new hubby...

Have you tried testingcheats? or resetSim? The former can bump his mood to happy while the later can potentially fix an issue with his need being "stuck."

Ok so the reset sim didn't work... however I thought I would try travelling to another lot to see if this helped and magically his fun bar is now full!!! So yes... small bug it looks like. Thanks for the help guys.

I just want to add that I've had the same problem, and I think some people are misunderstanding it. The fun bar still goes up when you are having fun, but it stays yellow or red. If it's only in the yellow zone, it's nothing but a cosmetic problem. But if your Sim's fun bar is down far enough to get the tense moodlet, raising fun doesn't get rid of the tense moodlet like it should. Reloading the game or traveling seems to solve this problem.

Have you hovered over the icon to see what's causing it or the time left? My Sim Kids had tense for 2 days due to a fire one of them set.

Just says : Needs Amusement (from low fun). Could really use with something fun to do.

I have him watch tv, play computer games etc. but bar still stays all red. Not one bit of green?

Did you give them the genius skill? I did and I'm having a hard time keeping them un-tense.

I had my girl sim ask Dusty Brand to live with her so he's now my playable sim.. but no sadly he's no genius. Traits are cheerful, dastardly, foodie and music lover.

What are his traits? My Sim often gets tense because he has the Ambitious trait, and he's always worried about getting a promotion. I usually follow what the indicators suggest to do first. Dancing or listening to music also seems to help my Sim, or playing with toys (lol, he's also got the childish trait).

edit - oh, I see you've listed his traits...buy him a violin or guitar, or just have him listen to music, not dance. Have him cook or read a cookbook, or do something mischievous, like troll on forums. Work with his traits and whims (the wishes above his head icon).
