Sim prisoners - tips needed to prevent escape

I edited my original post after I attempted to do this. I had done this before at first, it's the primary way I was going about it. But it seems like they ignore walls / doors at certain times, plus it's a pain to keep editing game to place and remove doors. I'm looking for other ideas.
