I hated TS3's pudding faces but you there's absolutely nothing you can say about the level of detail that went in that game. I'm not talking about art style, I mean the detail... here's a screenshot I took a couple of days ago:

I think it's very clear that TS4 has the worst level of detail for small critters...I'm holding out hope that it will improve to become the best in a pets expansion.

The small animals looked really nice in TS2&3. I don't get why they didn't even try this time around.

A lot of 2015 games use graphics like The Sims 4. It's "in" at the moment to have Cartoony/Watercolour graphics.

Life Is Strange graphics looks pretty similar to The Sims 4, and it's supposed to be realistic. Lego hair, painted backgrounds etc.

No way, "Life is Strange" has better graphics than S4 ... Honestly when I saw your avi I thought it was S2 (just with cc).

Slightly better. The grass is still flat and green paintish like TS4, the objects are just painted with very simple textures.
It hides behind a strong Lighting engine.

I played the leaked episode 2 of the game, and the lighting effects are disabled (I later added the file that brings them back) and the graphic detail was very simple.

They also blur backgrounds like The Sims 4.

A few extra details, but looks similar to a Sims 4 kitchen.

No it doesn't. If Sims 4 looked anything like that I for one wouldn't complain.
(at the same time I don't hope a Sims game will ever have cc hair like shown in this topic)
