Actually Red Dead Redemption 2 opening week physical sales were more than double that one Red Dead 1. It’s got a full single player and you don’t need to be online or have others in your game.

Online play is OPTIONAL. It has a full offline single player which is a full open world and is very sandbox when you aren’t doing story missions (and even they are very open, not a case of “Use x item and speak to y” in a hold your hand type way.
