I was also thinking that you could go to amazon and look at the plot summaries for their novels to get ideas for your own story. For example, here's a story I came across when I typed in "bestselling novel," changed to make it specific to the sims. It's from the book "Big Sexy Love" by Kirsty Greenwood:
