I cannot believe what is happening right now.
There is a Huge Bonehilda Drama becuase Bonehilda is a Sim underneath the skeleton Body. People are complaining and attacking simmers who liked the pack how they are (Bad words) type of people for condemming The Studio for reusing a sim body where in reality almost all of special NPC in the franchise was coded from a base sim and they just change the body such as servo, skeleton, bigfoots, and many many more.
So why the heck they are attacking people about it? Grim Reaper is the same. for example and yet they do not complain. What is worst is when asked they said that they should make a new skeleton rig just for Bonehilda because it is a NPC and instead the Devs are lazy people.
Why are they calling people lazy without even having the knowledge on how things work? I can understand that Bonehilda being human when Wohoo was a not intented glitch because she was never supposed to take off the skeleton body, but to say that they should create a whole new rig and model is just insane. Remember the reason why pets are always released later in the games lifespan? They have to create new model rig for it. Especially they are entirely different from the sims.
With This Frastruation, the Forums will be the only place where I could go and look for stories made by others and share what happend in my games. Rather than there. I just hope that things in here would not be like in twitter and always constructive.
It is sad to see that people who had a particular dislike for the game (not all but some on twitter) are spreading hate like this fueling fires, intenting to set fire to the developers even if their claims are factually wrong.
It really shows how little they know about programming and design. The way the team do it is exactly the same way it's done everywhere. It makes 0 sense to make an entirely new mesh when you already have one and can use that. If a character is supposed to behave in a certain way and that behaviour is already coded in the game, you place a skin over it. This saves time and computer resourses. There is less code involved which means less glitches to worry about. Why spend extra time doing something when you don't have to and there's no benefit from it? These people complaining and calling the team "lazy" really don't know what they are talking about. They don't seem to realise that if it was done the way
they think it should be, the game would require more resourses to run it, it would cost more and take a lot longer to make.
In Architeture we're told to reuse what we already have drawn. Many Architects have not drawn a window for years. There's no need to redraw something when you can copy and paste your own work. This actually saves time and money for the client. Less time and resourses spent on the project means less fees for the client to pay. This is how it works in all areas of design, including video games.
