Sims 5 might be huge

if it's bigger i hope it's for the amount of gameplay and customization features rather than graphics. hopefully ts5 devs are more ambitious in these aspects

And that's half the reason it's buggy as plumb.

It seems the team has been going out of their way to say Sims 5 is not going to happen anytime soon. I also question with how badly Sims 4 is going do people seriously believe Sims 5 will be better? I haven't played Sims 4 for the PS4 (I got it just because it was like $5) and my little brother played it for a week and was back to wanting to play it on the PC which also makes me question will the game play even be good?

I don't think they will go with realistic graphics for 5. A lot of people seem to like the cartoonish style of 4 - and let's be real, The Sims series as a whole has NEVER been one known for its graphics. I'd much rather they spend the budget on gameplay features etc.

A lot of people don't like it either. I think they should do a middle ground between cartoony and realistic.

I think a middle ground would be the way to go too. I hope they pick a middle ground with gameplay too, not too realistic and not too RPG but a mix of both supernatural and humanoids. Sims have a hard time being exactly uncanny humans, they are robot copies at best why I call them humanoids.

I don't want it to be super realistic, but I for sure prefer more alpha textures for walls, floors, clothing, objects, hair (no clay hair this time, please!!!!) The Sims can still be a little more cartoony than realistic, but I hate the mobile game look of TS4. I much preferred TS3's style (not the sims themselves, but the actual world and objects).

So yeah, a mixture to me would be very welcoming.

They could. And the speculation is from a job listing for Maxis Austin for someone who knew how to use the Unreal Engine. I think it’s time they stopped making engines that clearly don’t work as good as they should and move on.

A lot of developers it is the norm to know how to develop on Unity and Unreal Engines since they are both the most used engines with games otherwise no one will hire them. One of my friends was learning both for a mobile game he has been developing.

Glad I'm not going anywhere near TS5. And that I still have years of content exploring TS4 :)
