Sims and swimming pools.. why???

Ok sims really seem to hate the pools in the sims 4 you cant make them take a dip unless you force them then they are out as soon as they get in.. I would think that sense they added summer to the game they would have made the sims more attracted to the pools.. especially In oasis springs.. let's hope that ea adds a loved water or to swim trait soon

It does depend on the traits -- Active Sims tend to love swimming. I haven't tested it yet but I wonder if weather may have an impact now -- would Sims swim more if it's hot?

Swimming was bugged for a time -- maybe try a Repair Game and see if that helps.

There is a "Pool" community lot type. Sims tend to swim there more. If my Sims have a pool at their house they seem to hardly ever use it autonomously. On the other hand it seems a lot of dogs in my game are obsessed with swimming in pools. :D

Same. My sims always have whims to own a pool. But when I make them one they never use it.

Their not too crazy about swings and skating rinks either.

Same as what others have said, mine always go straight for the pool and I have a hard time keeping them out of it.

It can depend on lot type too. They use the pool more if it's a park or if it's a pool lot type.
