Sims are Hysterical or Very Playful Since Laundry Day Launch

Is this a bug? My sim did nothing funny/fun or anything. There's no other modifiers to the playful mood in my sims home but the laundry (just one time) had him on the hysterical mood and I very nearly missed it. (his aura around the avatar pick in the bottom left corner was blinking like it does just before death) One laundry cycle should not make my sim die! I hope this gets fixed soon. Buying a pack like this seems pointless if we can't have them do laundry without keeling over the very first time they do it!
