The foundation of the game is completely broken; the base game was never meant to support packs like this.
Some games are created with the idea of live services in mind. Another brick to the wall, another step on the ladder, they can handle it because that's what they were built to do. But Sims 4 was not and the whole base needs an overhaul to keep going.
Also, the CAS is terrible. It's all gonna be tattoos, which are basically a sticker, when the game is already proposing you make your own tattoos. I wouldn't say the Build Buy is the most thrilling stuff either. Six item slots are taken up by flipped curtains and not a single item stands out to me.

While I liked the gameplay trailer I won't lie, I still want to know how other business types play into it.
If all the other types of businesses don't play into it, then it really is bad...

This pack don't look at all that impressive. I mean, I watched the gameplay trailer and it was just meh. It could have just been a refresh of Get to Work but nope because money. I rarely ever play this game anymore anyways (Planet Zoo just monopolizes my time so much now and it's a lot more fun) and seeing them release pack after pack after pack of just the bare minimum and charging so much money for them. I mean they are charging people $40 for pottery and tattoos and ability to run a small business that may or may not even work properly. I'm usually very tolerate with EA and these money grabbing shenanigans but enough is enough, especially when there are better games out there worth the money.
And not to mention, this game is always broken. If I do buy this pack, and that's a big if, it will be when it's on sale.

I have kinda reached a point where I care more about larger updates to the game, bug fixes and real game development.
This gameplay trailer made the pack feel like just "content", a very monotone voice, another sims4 logo redesign, after 92 DLC everything feels very monotone and repeated over and over.
And in this pack sims can actually hold real classes, we had Discover University and High School Years but none of them had actually any real classes.
I understand that EA/Maxis can't make everything for a pack but really, this has been too many packs with not enough development in them. After 10 years I'm seeing what I wanted to see for some older packs.
So what? I'm expected to wait another 10 years until I can play in a real high school? This is why game developers make sequels.
Please see reason EA/Maxis and start working on the sims5.

I was excited for the pack after the first trailer, but I feel the gameplay trailer showed us nothing new. So now I kinda feel like they're seelling GTW again with a bit of a twist. I like what is coming with the pack, it seems better than what GTW has... but then again what's the point of GTW anymore? To sell furniture and clothing? Just having a bit of iffy feelings and thinking I'll likely wait for a sale. I love setting up shops for my sims, so yeah I still want the new system.

I feel it's unclear whether we'll be able to have multiple ownership of businesses on a single lot creating a mall. I know it's not possible to mix Dine Out restaurants and small business so that's already a downside to being able to create functional malls. Though it does seems like the sims will be able to own their own food stalls based on the trailer.
The gameplay trailer didn't really answer my questions like can we have multiple community lots on one lot without owning it

I seriously doubt it. They did not show anything of the sort in the trailer. They know that a lot of players would like that feature to make a mall for example. If they had put this in the game they would have highlighted it.

As I thought, from a visitor's point of view Business and Home are 2 lots
