Sims constantly 'Flirty' because of Sentiment!

My two Sim's are both constantly flirty every day as they spend their time together as a family with children.

It's nice to see them experience other emotions as well and it gets annoying if I mainly see them 'flirty' every day because of the sentiment.

Is there a way to stop this or turn Sentiments off? This new upgrade doesn't seem to work well as it's too often. I don't mind if I need to cheat just really want things to go back to normal lol as this isn't realistic and stops me from experiencing other emotions.

  • I was intrigued by sentiments coming to the game but the fact that it relies on the broken emotions system doesn't make it worthwhile. They need to fix the emotions before they try to make any proper improvements to in-depth gameplay. What good is it to add something like sentiments where all it does is essentially change your Sims emotion when they're around that Sim?

Isn't there a potion or something that can clear sentiments??

Otherwise, doing the "mindfulness" thing then you can chose a new emotion with "surge".

no thats lifestyles that has the potion

Its so depressing that we need to keep recurring to mods to "fix" things that should not be broken in first place sigh. Im also tired of seeing my sims flirtying all the time, it makes no sense. EVEN WITH CATS. I mean, really?. Sadly ive been seeing this behaviour since a couple of years ago already. One of the reasons i avoided romantic interacions in most of my households. Not that it matters, they will get the moodlet even if you dont want to..
  • I don't have autonomy on, so my teen couple won't flirt with other Sims. Only with each other. I agree the flirty sentiments can be overkill. It's like EA to overexaggerate one feature, and nerf the other feature. There is no in-between for them.

Really? I haven't seen that... yet. Or at least noticed it. Though maybe that's what this dog is doing? :D :D :D

A more disturbing side effect of the flirting is that very occasionally romantic relationships can be formed with toddlers and children probably a glitch mind you but still that's just so wrong and should never happen. I saw a post on twitter where this exact thing happened a few days ago and the person was so uncomfortable by it that they actually deleted their whole save. It's something that seriously needs to be fixed.

I use a lot of mods to fix issues with the autonomy of the Sims 4. I've come to accept that it's just the way things are with the it. Mod creators are the saving grace of the game and I honestly don't know what we would do without them.
  • I am playing a couple who recently got engaged. This is the first time I've seen the enamored icon, but at this time I think its entirely appropriate. If the buff continues, I can just click out with the wonderful UI Extension, without which I probably couldn't play this game. :D

This is very unnerving, romantic sentiment with children...patch immediately!
