Sims don't do snowboarding and skiing club activities

My sims made a club that hangs out at the onsen but they always just stay in the onsen and won't autonomously ski or snowboard. Even when I choose the option "snowboard together" they don't do it only...

I find clubs to be a hit or a mess in general. For example, i had a failed knitting club where no one even attempted to knit anything but for my sim who was the only one doing the assigned activity.
