@telemwill maybe this will help. https://www.canva.com/templates/?query=mood-boards-photo-collages
Thank you! It is interesting to see how it can be done.
I've never done a mood board before so decided to give it a shot. The theme is two-fold. The first theme, is a year in the life of my One Month One World One Year challenge Sim, Essa and the Sim she would befriend at the beginning of the year and eventually marry, Josh. It also represents myself, including how much I love TS4 since I play it every day. Each square represents a month in the challenge and also represents things about me personally.
There is an explanation of each image in the spoiler if anyone is interested in checking it out. Fair warning it is a little long, no worries if you don't care to read it. I wish we had been given an opportunity to explain our choices in the official contest, but ah well. I didn't enter to win anyway. It was just a fun challenge for me to try something I've never done before and sent me on a nostalgic journey again with my Sims while looking through all the screenshots from last year.
January is the vertical rectangle near the top of Teen Essa & YA Josh on top of Mt. Komorebi after successfully doing the excursion together. It represents teamwork and BFFs, doing things with the one that you love. Exactly the things Hubby and I are all about.
February is the first square and represents my love of music/dancing and Essa as a dance club leader in Windenburg.
March represents my love for reading and also being independent and strong when you can't be with the one you love as Essa did in Glimmerbrook. I have many hobbies I like to do by myself and have had to carry on with life when Hubby wasn't here to help me.
April is about my love for musical instruments. I play alto, tenor and baritone saxophones, but we don't have those in the game. The violin is something I've always wanted to play though. It also represents Essa striving for a Fine Arts degree in DU and also, this was taken right after Essa and Josh got engaged and went to the Realm to tell her family. The Practical Sage, Simeon Silversweater is her Father, L. is her honorary Mother, and Morgyn her honorary big brother.
May shows how I don't like the cowplants. :D Sorry, just being honest. However, Beast, as Josh called him, was a part of Essa & Josh's life. Especially in Britechester when he was alive, but he made the trip to StrangerVille as a skeleton and onward during the year.
June doesn't represent their time in DSV much, except for the fact this was the night their twin daughters were conceived. It represents love and togetherness. Plus, I just love that flirty painting and love art in general. Oh and I guess it represents how these two were in love with love. Just as I am... <3
July represents that I have children so it represents family and sibling love. Also, of course, this was the result of Essa and Josh's love for each in DSV that night, their twin daughters, Jessah and Josee.
August is about hope and togetherness, never giving up on those that you love, strength, courage and bravery. Always being there and sharing everything in life. Just like me and Hubby. <3 Essa had given up her spellcaster heritage to become a vampire and rescue Josh from an evil vampire enchantress who had abducted him. She kept him under a spell enslaved as her 'boy toy.'
September is about my love for the tropics, vacations we take to an island, relaxing and spending time with the one you love.
October was in SM for Essa and Josh, but it was also when they got married as adults. It represents marriage & love (I'm married, obviously), my love for the countryside/nature and my hippie tendencies. They were married in the middle of the Brambles, barefoot.
November shows my love for cats! Hubby calls me his crazy cat lady. hehe Ollie there looks a lot like one of my own cats. Also, Essa & Josh were in Brindleton Bay by this time which is a coastal town. We have the Great Lakes surrounding my state with lots of coastline, so it could inadvertently represent my home state.
And finally December, the large rectangle at the bottom. This represents how Hubby and I love to cloud/stargaze together, how we live in the country and that I grew up on a farm. Mostly though it shows these two in their twilight years, still together, still BFFs, and still would rather be with each other than anyone else. Just like me and Hubby. <3
The color theme is obviously showing in the background; shades of rose/pink, blue, teal, purple (which is my favorite color), green and yellow accents here and there. Thank you for looking to anyone who took the time to read this. :)
It would be cool to help with the designs for future sim themed products but I can barely get the motivation to play the game or really do anything so I didn't even expect myself to try even of it was available in my country lol.
I don't have the creativity for such a project, but I'm excited about seeing everyone elses. I do plan on buying the keyboard and mouse... some day. I'll pass on the headset.
