The fastest way for my sims to make money is
- Painting, even more profitable if you have time to sell it on plopsy
- Selling fruit, especially dragon fruit seems lucrative
- Treasure hunting in selvadorada
- Pottery (still testing but breaking pottery, then repairing it and adding a glaze, it easily sells for over 1000$ a piece in my small business)
Of course even faster would be to use the copy pastor spell to quickly make a lot of copies of expensive objects. But that feels too cheaty. I play occults for the flavour, not to make the game easier. For the same reason I almost never use the money tree. I even keep forgetting we have it.
