Hi everyone, I have a question about how long ghosts remain after you strengthen their tie to the living world and was wondering if anyone could help clear things up, for clarity I don't have the life and death pack. So, my sims dog died a long time ago in my game when my sims daughter was a child and her daughter is now a young adult, I play on the longest lifespan with the longest season setting and I strengthened the connection the same day Molly the dog died, according to what I've read they should only stay around for 90 days, but it's been soooo much longer than that in my game. I love that she still comes to visit, I just wondered if my game was being weird concerning how much time has passed as none of the townie households in my save seem to be aging either even though I have the aging setting for all households played and unplayed turned on 🤔
I am not an expert, but I think that past a certain point, a ghost MAY fade and pass on, but that's a matter of chance, like how long after an Elder passes their lifespan mark they can live. Or that ghost may be glitched, but I wouldn't worry about it hurting anything.
I did not know that, this is interesting! Even after playing The Sims for 20 years, you still learn something new. 😉
There may perhaps be an issue with your save game, if none of the townie households are ageing, even though you have aging on. If you have a long life span setting though, it may take a while for them to age up.
Thank you Rosemow and Sindocat 😁 I get death notifications for elder sims so time is moving in the world's somewhat but these two households in my save are the only townie ones left and they've never changed the whole time I've played this save and add that to Molly still being around, it's just kinda strange. The Sulani families have changed over time as my save is a legacy but it's like time has stood still for everyone else since I split my sim from her family in Henford and moved her there 🤷🏻
