- EgonVM6 years agoSeasoned AceSimulation lag still exists, can't deny that. Some places have it worse than others (for example, it's so bad in a retail store that sells a lot of stuff).
- Kimmer_one6 years agoSeasoned AceI don't know what simulation lag is, but I have lots of lag in general in my game.
- logionX6 years agoLegendI don't get much simulation lag anymore, with the exception of 4AM to 5AM every night and also sometimes when organizations are gathering at Foxbury.

Simulation lag is when you can move the camera and the game is moving, but sims either stand doing nothing or repeat the same animation. If you click on an object, interactions won't come up and if you click on build mode icon, it takes longer to open it. It also takes longer to load into world map (which can be only done by pressing M on keyboard), saving, and more. - I experience delay of actions and sudden resetting of sims since installing DU. But I'm not sure if it is really lag or the result of the dreaded idle chat.
Example: A sims knocks at my apartment door. I click that sim and choose "invite in" (or "dismiss"). Then my sim stands around and does nothing. I cancel the interaction, repeat my command, still nothing. Only when I reset the visitor forcefully can I interact with them.
I suspect that a sim from the outside has queued up idle chat with my visitor and now the visitor waits for that outsider sim to reach them before they respond to my sim. - Kimmer_one6 years agoSeasoned Ace

I'm getting some. Loading build mode, world map or household manager is taking longer... - kaianthia6 years agoRising NoviceI'm having lag in general recently and i mean some serious, cant play anything cause every thing is not working lag. Just slow. I know my laptop is old, 7 years old to be exact, but i've been playing it without lag up until last month. I took out all the CC's and MODs, ive uninstalled and reinstalled. Got rid of all cache and saves, nothing works. Can't afford a new laptop in these quarantimes. Any suggestions?

It is the same for me, been getting actual lag since the new update. Even starting the new game, furniture takes longer to load to its texture. It has never done this before. - Maybe try getting this mod? I used to have tons of simulation lag too in my game, but after getting this mod, it got better and I barely have simulation lag now.
