He's saying that it is more socially acceptable to insult a thin person then it is a big person. And that is completely true. You wouldn't say "wow you're so fat!" right? Cause it's very rude. Yet no one bats an eye if someone said "wow you're so thin!", but it is equally as insulting. I got comments like that all the time "you should eat more" "you're so thin!" "any more wind and you would fall over haha" and they are completely unaware that they're being hurtful because hey, everyone wants to be thin right so why should I complain?
That is not true, people call others fat all the time and no one cares and they get teased far more often. It is more of a compliment to say "wow your so thin" because being thin is supposedly a good thing (not the unhealthy sim thin). Fat is not a good thing but thin has always been considered better or the thing to be. Believe me when I say fat people get far more hate, teasing and name calling all the time.
That is not to say that being teased as a thin person is not hurtful or wrong, i am just saying over weight people always get so much hate.
