Slow Dance

Do you mind sharing where you got the slow dance from TS3? I would love to have that.

I don't mind at all. It's part of the "Cute Romance" mod package, available here. Take note that it also requires the xml injector, so you will need that too if you don't already have it. Link for that is on the mod page.

For me the first time slow dancing worked very well and it was longer than I expected. I made them do it in the lounge that shipped with new pack in Tartosa. The stereo was on the rooftop. The second time they danced twice in the room and it was short as hell. :D They did flirt while dancing and kissing interaction and it did go well, but the dance itself lasted maybe six seconds. Way too short and the timing should be always the same no matter the place. Maybe the toddler daughter of my sim interrupted them, but I’m not so sure. She was close by and queued action just after they finished.

I actually don't like the random actions inbetween dancing like the dip or whatever you call it. I'd rather they just stick to regular slow dancing.
I still think it's good because it doesn't look to intimate so that non couples can dance together.
But for more intimate dancing for my close couples mercuryfoam has the best mod yet.
Only it's not free (I'm a patreon)

I like the swirl one a lot its pretty
but i don't like dip either
like for romantic interaction its not romantic enough looks bit like wrestling tbh

and as for non romantic couple dance... why would you dip anyway :sweat_smile:

then they did add the interactions while dancing but honestly they just stop dancing and do the interaction continue dancing which isnt really my idea of interaction while dancing

That's actually my largest disappointment with the pack. I know everyone has their laundry list of this-that-or-the-other-thing which doesn't even work that bothers them, but for me the way the slow dance interactions actually aren't integrated into the dance itself is the most egregious thing wrong with MWS.

Agreed. Aside from dancing as if they're strangers, stopping in between to do familiar interactions is so disappointing. I was hoping for something like TS2. Those interactions were part of the dance, fluid, and convincing. ::sigh::

I'm also most disappointed by how they did the slow dance. No wonder Sims will quit dancing at first sight of anything distractable (though that's actually just faulty programming).

I don't like to say it, but this pack ist an extremely unfinised project. They clearly ran out of budget and tried to get away with reusing animations but that's not new.

What's new and concerning are all the bugs and oversights that should never be in a sold pack.

There are 3 custom interactions that are possible when Sims haven't even met. These tests are the basics for each social interaction, how can they forget.

Interactions are not set to allow for them being completed (e.g paired dancing and the marriage socials). Such issues can only be overseen when Testing the game with autonomy off or not testing at all.

The officiant not working. You can't possibly fail to notice that.

Wrong consumption states and spoiling states for cakes. This is also a very much in the face issue.

The new interactions have so ridiculously high pie menu priorities as you would give them during testing to easily find them, but never after release.

Being able to marry again after just having exchanged vows. No go.

I'm gonna stop here as I can't bare it.

I hate to say it, but atm I'm just so fed up with this game. I need a break from simming and that has never happened after a Pack Release for me before. They seem to have completely lost sight of their customers' rightful expectations.
