- I guess it would be less important to me if we didn't have it in the previous 2 games.
I know people complain about performance issues with TS3, but even TS2 had better snow (from what we've seen so far in the trailer) and that's a game from 11 years ago. So I'm used to seeing deeper snow and not having it in a game that's only 4 years old is pretty sad in my opinion.
I appreciate that they want most people to be able to run it, but that's what toggles should be there for - People playing on potatoes play with lower settings while people with good computers increase the settings. But toggles seem to be impossible for TS4... - OEII1001New SpectatorIt isn't important to me at all. I think Sims games look good either way.
- I chose very. For the sake of immersion, it's very important to get the aesthetics of snow correct. Flat, featureless snow won't fool anyone. It looks out of place. However, I can try to deal with it because the activities are still available.
On the other hand, the facet of seasons that is extremely important to me has to do with all manner of beach activities, including swimming in the ocean. It doesn't look like I'll be getting that at all.
Heck, four years in and not even a picnic basket. I should have known that Seasons wouldn't bring beaches that had a purpose other than fishing or looking nice. - OneAdorkableGirlNew SpectatorIt's half and half for me. So I picked Moderately Important. On one hand, I'm used to getting snow that is just a sprinkle because of where I live. Sometimes we get those rare snow storms where we get over 1 foot of snow. But mostly it's just... a very light layer and you can still see the ground/grass.
Then, on the other hand, it's like .. I don't want it to look like it was 'completely' painted on.. and want it to have just a little bit of depth because I like to take pictures of my game.
But other than that.. I'll wait for more information and see what they say about it. (:
*Edit*
However, it's not a deal breaker; I am so happy we're getting Seasons because.. it was just getting to be too much.. seeing Summer for 4 years. Especially because we don't get snow that much around here, I really like being able to experience it in game, so I'm pretty happy that it's coming and the depth is important to me, but if they can explain it to me.. thenI'll be open-minded about it.
I can't wait to see how families react to weather, how animals react to it. ♥
Also, SimGuruKate said that not everything was shown in the trailer and while that was not a confirm on the accumulation being there.. maybe in Willow Creek it doesn't snow a lot.. Maybe in Oasis Springs there's more droughts than rain..(as in.. rain is non-existent), and maybe in Brindleton Bay, there is a lot more snow than Willow Creek. Or maybe it's not like that at all.. x_x would be neat, though. Hehe
I would be happy if they went with a more 'realistic' approach to it and of course also gave us settings/options to allow weather in whatever world we're playing in. (:
We'll just have to wait and see in the next few weeks. - I’ve got to be the only summer who doesn’t care about it and would actually prefer that they don’t make it accumulate if it is going to affect playability of the game/slow it down.
I’m from Australia though, so I’ve maybe seen snow twice in my lifetime (while traveling) and even then it was more like a bit of ice on the ground :joy: I have zero expectations or understanding of what is normal. I’m more like yay white stuff floating out of the sky that isn’t massive hail stones out to destroy cars or homes... - Lonewolf1044Seasoned SpectatorDeleted
- It's moderately to very important to me. I'm from a country that gets a lot of snow in winter and I spend a lot of time outside, and the white terrain paint snow stands out as very unnatural looking to me. The main reason why Seasons is my favorite theme is what is does for immersion and scenery, and when I bought the Sims 4 I remember thinking how amazing seasons would look in this game. So of course this snow disappoints me. I think I can get used to the idea, but right now I'm feeling pretty bummed out.
- I picked moderately. I would love snow depth - it would be a great experience to have my Sims trudge through the kind of deep snow that I grew up with. However, there's a lot more to weather than deep snow, and a good all-round weather experience is more important to me than any one part of it.

I agree with that.- JanuaryGarnet08New SpectatorThis pack looks so thoroughly amazing and I have always had such a wonderful imagination that if my Sims feet aren't buried to the ankles it's not going to bother me in the least.
