so i have to ask is anyone else actually excited for this or even want this.

I'm expecting something of similar quality to laundry day so hopefully it will be a crowd pleaser. The trailer doesn't give much away but then again it is only a teaser. I'll judge more tomorrow whether or not it's something I would buy. I'm excited for a new pet though.

like for me this could be acceptable barely as a summer stuff pack but to put right now is a silly idea and not to mention we do not even get a game pack which just adds more to the dissapointment :/

well at around this time for the 2nd quater we got a game pack and stuff pack but this year it looks like this is all we are getting for the second quater and sadly the summer quaters are just as bad. infact i expected something like this as the summer stuff pack not for the 2nd quater stuff pack.

Well, we got 2 SPs and a GP this quarter then. May mean they've got something big for Q1 of FY2019 (which starts April 1) if they didn't feel like holding this SP back a few weeks. Remember we're still in Q4 of FY2018.

I'll likely get it depending on interactions, and maybe they bring back the hamster disease from Sims 2 so there's actually some risk along with the reward of caring for a small animal.

In sims 2 the only thing I liked about pets was the fact they could have jobs. That was a little neat.

And I hated the pet jobs -- so different strokes for different folks.

I can't say I'm excited for the pack -- but depending on a player's style of play this pack could have a lot of value. For family players it's a very "normal" sort of thing; a family style player could add a rodent pet for the kids to show they have enough responsibility to take care of a larger animal like a cat or a dog. Or a busy single in a small apartment who doesn't have time for a cat or dog can have a hamster for a companion (may have to add Liam O'Dourke back into my game because I can just imagine him with a hamster). I'll have to see more details (tomorrow?) to see what the pack entails.

No proof of exactly what the pack is and whether it is paid or free content. At the end of the day, everyone enjoys different things. No need for hate or confusion when you do not have access to the full facts or it is just content that does not and will never interest you.

I'm going to wait until tomorrow when we get some more information about it to really critique it - however, I'm not going to make any decisions about whether I buy this pack or not until I see LGR's review on it.

The disclaimer at the bottom of the video defines this as a stuff pack.

I'm looking forward to it. Not every home can afford or want a bigger pet like a cat or dog. Smaller pets would fit in nicely.

I wish I could say I'm surprised by this point, but I'm not. Notice how it was called Cats And Dogs rather than Pets? Yeah, that's so they could milk the theme further later on down the line. Pretty sure we were getting hamsters/guinea pigs back in The Sims Unleashed. So it's a pass from me.
