Stairs in Foxbury Making Sims Late?

I've been playing Discover University both at University of Britechester and at Foxbury...I notice my Sims are ALWAYS late at Foxbury and are having issues doing well in classes because of it and I had no issues at Britechester.

I'm watching them run between classes and notice that while they do RUN to classes to get there on time, Sims are not able to run up/down stairs, only walk. Britechester is pretty flat while Foxbury has so many stairs...it's making my Sims super late to class. Is there any solution to this?

I do want to play at Foxbury but this just seems like a huge design oversight.

    Ok this might be why I don’t have an issue with my sims being late to class. I stopped using the bikes because the animation to get on and off was taking so long my sims were late. This was even worse in Foxbury when they had to get off and on more than once to take the stairs. I don’t understand why they didn’t make a bike ramp right next to the stairs to avoid this issue.
