Style Influencer career: Trendsetter or Stylist?

When I took a look at these branches, both of them had same interactions and same rewards (ability to change other sim's outfit and setting trends). What I have heard is that the branch affects which interactions gain your sim fame.

I didn't notice a real difference between the two when I played. Probably would have been best not to have a diverting career path, but as all of them do in TS4, the creators kind of put themselves in a box.
