I play rotationally, meaning I normally don't find time to spend simdays on planning a wedding. I like the wedding features of MWS, but I realize that I will need a way to throw better weddings *without* lots of planning. I understand that many of you have just as much fun with the planning as with the event itself. But perhaps some found smart ways to throw good immediate weddings, too?
I have a few community lots set up with arch, seats, a seated dining area and space enough to add extras like cakes and dance floor. I guess setting the guest list might be my biggest challenge, because it takes so long unless your family and fiends are already in your sim's relations panel.
Any hot tips on throwing a decent but perhaps simple wedding including some of the MWS features? How do you normally do it if you have to skip most of the planning?
If you have some nice lots that function well for this purpose, your job is halfway done. Also, you need to not be too fussy on the decorations and colour scheme. You can set wedding ceremony in one place and reception in another place so if you want to make sure your guests don't have distractions you can hold these at different venues. For good immediate weddings I have Vegas style chapel with a photo booth.
