Switching between dogs' outfits?

Sure I can give them new outfits in CAS but that's not the problem here. It's that I never saw a button to be able to switch your pets' outfits when you click on them. This goes for cats too with their outfits but my question relates to dogs more since they have outfits for everyday and for walking. For example, when I first take my dog out for a jog, the dog of course switches to its walking outfit, but after it's all done, the dog never switches into everyday outfits ever again and I don't know how exactly to make the dog switch to an everyday outfit. Has anyone noticed this slight oversight? Since we can't control the pets ourselves w/o mods, I was wondering if I was missing something that allowed me to switch their outfits at anytime or am I forced to see my dogs in their walking outfits forever?
