How does everyone play using their teen sims? do you spend much time on them?
I have quite a few teen sims, even a few teen households. one of those households i call "school friends" has two male and three female teenagers: Travis Dunman, Liam Sergeant, Lucie Falbridge, Sadie DeWarren and Jameena Qahasi.
I got another called "Balilovic Sisters", all three teenage sisters: Anja, Raina and Mia.
i have a third called "The Dudes" and there are four teenage males there: Codie DeGauss, Earl Duquesne, Jessie Brixton and Arturo Salazar.
I got more with:
"Tormen" family: Gerard and Leanne.
"Hiroshimoto" family: Hiro, Mara and Ukyo.
"Alderra" family: Damon and Jonas.
I could name all of them quite easily. :)
I spend time with some more than others, but they are all relevant.- DaWaterRat6 years agoSeasoned AceUsually, though not always, by the time the family has teens, I've "finished" with whatever the storyline is for the adults and I then focus on the Teens and their story/stories. So teens tend to get a fair amount of focus in my game.
I only play a single household at a time, though. If I played rotationally, that would probably drop as I'd need to spend more time covering the adults (unless I turned aging off.)
My current game started with a group of four teens taking on the Strangerville plot. - I love teens. I like to play a group of teens together and age them up all at the same time.
I have a mod for shorter school hours, and I have a lot that’s a high school. I sometimes have them go to the school lot after their actual school. I lock them in whatever classroom I want them in (regular, music, science, cafeteria) by building temporary walls around the outside of doors, so they have to stay in there and interact.
They have study sessions at cafes or each others’ homes. They go on dates to the movies. They have graduation ceremonies and graduation parties. Some of my teens had a band, but they only practiced at a house; never had a gig. A few of their friends came and watched. They have a teen center where they can hang out.
Soon, I’m starting a boarding school which will have up to 6 teens, a professor, and a cook/janitor. - teens are one of my favourite life stages. my teens are usually pretty independent. they go out by themselves or with friends and get head starts on adult skills. a fair amount of my commercial lots have the teen neighbourhood lot trait because it helps them find friends or romantic interests (in theory, anyway)
as for the time spent on them, it depends on how many sims are in the household. if it's just the parents and an only child, that child will get a lot of attention since they're the one who will be continuing the legacy. if there are multiple kids, i try to split the attention between them, but sometimes i can't help but have favourites
in my current family, the son is about to age up into a teen. fingers crossed he's not ugly lol - Jayel-16 years agoSeasoned AceAs soon as my sims become a teenager, I sort out a girlfriend/boyfriend for them to eventually marry. Once I've cemented that relationship they're on their own until the get married.
- HillyPlays6 years agoSeasoned AceThe couple in my avi are Rebekah Avery and her prom date Rylan Craven, who was created by @Pcombs11811 . She let me use him and his family for my game.
- HaveYouSeenSean6 years agoRising AceTeens can be quite fun. I had a save where it was a teen in a rundown motel lot that I built and he had to make a living off the limited part-time jobs. I think I deleted the save, but it was quite fun.
- They just don’t feel different enough (from a personality and gameplay standpoint) so I mostly leave them to their autonomy. I can say the same for elders.
- Simmerville6 years agoLegendI must admit I don't pay enough attention to my teens. I have no teens only household. At the moment there are 37 teens in my game - most of them pictured in my online resident registry.
I've been a bit more aware of them lately, like trying to have most of them focus on schoolwork and perhaps build a friendship, but mostly they are just a challenge to their parents, waiting to become young adults ;) - LadyKyn6 years agoSeasoned AceUsually let teens do their own thing for the most part at times. In a household with two teens one constantly kept getting into a fight with her sister and then got into a fight with her mom. Then got moody from school and did that moody walk.
In one of my saves have some teens in a club that are pretty much mischievous and cause trouble.
