i don't know if this is just a glitch or something purposeful. But most of the time i check up on my beehive they're almost always irritated or enraged. And then i find out my teens are going through the "Mean Streak" childhood phase where they just wanna be mean to people, but one of these interactions are disturbing the bee hive. This is absolutely annoying as my bees are always irritated and thus the honey they make comes out poor, and my teens every so often get uncomfortable from the stung moodlet by disturbing the bees.
I know the teens wanna be mean, but that doesn't mean they can be stupid and disturb a BEE HIVE.

Yeah, the bees are driving me a little insane (lol).
I would have liked if perhaps once we were “friendly” with them, they didn’t sting any longer - no matter how irritated they were.
My main gardening sim right now is just doing it as a hobby, nothing serious. I feel like I’m spending way too much time trying to keep the bees happy only to have them enraged again shortly after. If they don’t patch the bees to make them a little less temperamental, someone will surely make a mod soon.
My sim's husband kept disturbing them randomly while they were hibernating and enraged them. I put them in my greenhouse and locked the door for everyone but me. My butler will water my plants as soon as they need watering too so I had to lock him out anyway to keep him from doing that. They love the greenhouse!
It's absolutely terrible, i organized New Year's Eve and invited some guests... instead of partying they kept messing with my bees. Now my bees are so pissed they sting people even in buildings far from their place. I had to make a fence and lock it to get the bees some peace. I'm hoping they improve sims' survival instincts a bit in later updates so that parties wont be crashed by enraged bees anymore x.x

Mine are to I thought it was just me and my sim get stung regardless if they are in the same room with the things. They try to bond with the things and they get stung. I am afraid for a toddler to be in the same room with them
I had trouble with the bees too, and my sim is a good sim who lives alone so I know she wasn’t messing with them. They just get enraged sometimes. I was given great advice to try placing a radio near them and play classical music and it worked like a charm. They are totally calm now.
I also read you can make a bee calming scented flower arrangement and place it near their box. I haven’t tried this yet because I’ve been focused on getting her ready for harvest day.
I lock the bees in a fenced in area and don't allow anyone in unless I specifically want them to do something with the hives. The bee thing drives me nuts.
I think Joaquin Le Chien is a bit too old to be going through a "phase." In my game, the man is an adult, he practically invited himself over to my sims house, he helped with my sims daughters homework for a while but then he disappeared into the bathroom and he had a face mask on and everything, got into the tub, added a few rose petals, never asked for any permission to randomly start having this bath or anything, then he goes out in the thunder and lighting and I'm like dude, you're gonna die, he annoys the bees and inevitably gets stung, comes back, has ANOTHER bath with face mask and all, disturbs the bees AGAIN, comes back, says he's leaving, waits by the door for AGES before going back out to disturb the bees **AGAIN**... Then he has the audacity to act shocked when my sim tells him to get out, like, 1 time you disturb the bees ok, fine, a mistake, the second time you're getting a bit stupid, the THIRD time... I'm just leaving you to die in this thunderstorm with these bees that you keep practically asking for the wrath of. I can't help you if you're really that stupid, Joaquin. I tried to act concerned and told him to come in but no, he kept going out there to those bees...

It was in this moment, that Joaquin realized.. He had messed up:
In what world do you think this is going to end well Joaquin.. In what world?

Ironically, my teen sim that is actually going through her mean phase has never even touched the bee hive. So I guess some sims are just obsessed with it.
Having the same problem with any Sim that gains the "Playful" buff. The Bee Box just seems to be irresistible at the moment. A locked gate is looking like the best solution.
Yup, I'm going to have to fence my bees in. There's 2 sims in my household, one is a goofball. I don't know if she's disturbing them or being friendly. The other sim is not a goofball but he keeps getting stung. He hasn't bonded with them like she has and they keep harvesting poor honey. I actually put the bee box in my inventory for a while because of their obsession with it. I recently put it back out and will fence it in when I load up the household later. I remember having to do that with chickens in TS3 too.
