One of my sim couples left the baby and toddler with the butler to go out clubbing. When they get to the second club of the night, who sits at the bar, if not the butler who is supposed to be at the house looking after the small ones. As my couple arrives home, the baby and toddler are alone and running to the house and in through the door is the butler.
Same butler passed out alot in the childrens room and refused using the bad assigned to her.

This whole thread makes me look forward to playing long enough for my Sims to afford a big house with a butler. They are too new and poor just yet.
I got lucky in an earlier game with a competent Nanny. Socialised to the point where she was a family friend.
Only thing was, when I left the toddlers with her once and sent my Sim to the Flea Market, active Sim is at the Flea Market when she got a call inviting her TO the Flea Market, from the Nanny. :D
