The Lottery

Last week Ophelia Nigmos won § 1,000,000 in the lottery right after her boyfriend Johnny Smith moved in. Actually they were struggling with money as both are just YA being on level 2 in their career. Well, money is no longer a problem...

Funny coincidence, my Sims are just now having lottery day and I came into GD to find this topic at the top of the thread.

@Simmerville I didn't realize it was a million! I thought maybe a couple thousand or even around ten thousand! (I have low expectations lol)

I had never won until this year. I've won a couple of times. And many times the winner is another sim I play in rotation so it's fun to put them in a new situation.

I have won at least a dozen times if not more. I even won twice in one save two different families. But sometimes it runes my plans. I'm starting a challenge or trying something new in my head. And then they will win the lottery. I just can't walk away from a $1,000,000.

I've never won, but I wouldn't want to because I like to make my sims work for it. If I ever did win I'd probably cheat it away.

In my installs it's mostly "homeless" sims who win the lottery (and in a way, that's fair because they have nothing). Still all of my sims gets a ticket if the holiday comes up when played. But one of my families did win once. But they did have quite a lot of money already as the man had earned a good amount as a freelance programmer and his wife were very high in the bodybuilding career.

And once I did create a single female sim who did look fancy but just hat the default money that every sim gets. I did not move her in anywhere. Instead I closed down the game and re-launched it a few hours later. Playing a sim who I did sent to Brindleton Bay I did notice that the winner of the lottery was announced. And who did win if not my freshly created sim who didn't even have a ticket... That's unfair! :| (But quite funny).

Nope, never. Everytime the holiday comes up I will get anyone in the family who can buy one to buy one, but I have never once been lucky.

My Sims always buy lottery tickets. I've had only one Sim win it.

He's still living in the two-bedroom, §65,000 house in Newcrest I gave him in at the start of the game, although I did cheat §65K out of his account to have him buy the house honestly. Unless he's told his family, nobody knows he's got nearly a million Simoleons. Right now he's still living his life they way he did the day before he bought his ticket.

Like some of you, I wish there were some secondary prizes.

no none of my played sims have ever won

Twice. The first time wasn't technically my sim that won but a NPC (Summer Holiday) that he added to the household. It actually was a bummer because I was playing the cult/commune challenge which is set up to be a money struggle. The second was actually my sim that won, but money wasn't really an issue so it really didn't matter. Also she was yet another challenge I was playing, the super sim challenge.
