**What you liked**
- The CAS options are great. Being able to choose personality traits, while positive, that have both positive and negative moodlets and perks is fantastic. Also, the body/feature customization is very good. However, there should be a height option! As well as teens being slightly smaller.
- Again from the personality side of it, the depth and quality of interaction between sims of varying demeanor is great. I actually have to "get to know" and see what the personality traits of sim I'm interacting with, and think about my actions accordingly to avoid a negative conversation. As opposed to just spamming various interactions until someone is happy enough or flirty enough.
- The build mode is wonderful! Being able to just place rooms (furnished or unfurnished), just grab walls and drag them, and increase their height. Having the build and buy options in 1 tab definitely makes it easier. Many many perks within the new building/buying options... like searching for an item, or going to rooms, or categories. Well done.
- I've only really messed around in depth with botany thus far (and a tad cooking/programming), but the various actions and detail in growing, splicing, harvesting etc is fantastic! (as well as gourmet in cooking, and all the different options of programming/hacking in tech).
- No grocery shopping?! Frees up some time, and sims wont freak out and starve if you forget to restock. However, it does kinda take away from it.
- The timer shown on food serving decay is extremely helpful.
- How sims tend to all flock to the same location when eating on their own for socialization.
- The cellphone!
- Being able to UPGRADE things like the fridge door, faucets, flushing, sanitary, etc. on varying appliances! yes. Thank you.
- MAGICAL TREES!
**What you didn't like**
- First and foremost... Needs decay. It's definitely way too fast. I spend more time chasing needs decay than I do anything else. Makes it feel more monotonous and less fun and freeing. Less ability to increase skills, explore, and interact with other sims/build relationships.
- Why the hell do my sims keep walking into a bathroom with another sim on the toilet. Do they not know what closed doors are? Please just make them wave their hands and yell that the door is closed instead... many many embarrassments. A tad too much. One of my major playing frustrations... which leads into the next V...
- When canceling an action (either misclick, or no please don't walk into the bathroom with someone in there), The sims will still walk ALL THE WAY to their original destination, then stop to turn around... Instead of just stopping right where they are, and canceling the action.
- No basements. *disappointed face*
- No work cars.... i don't care about the cars so much, but my sims have missed so much work from this. I miss my honking. A side note to that, it is great that they're able to just go to work late. At least they can still go even if they're late! BUT....
---- With work, there's a serious bug where my sims will become stuck and greyed out.
- Can't see needs decay and fill while they're at work? Very very big dislike for that one. I liked being able to que up actions when they're about to return home from work.
- The inventory is one big disastrous mess! Please give some sorting method to that. How am I going to find anything among a couple hundred random quantity stacks of... just.. stuff?
- ^ and what the hell do I do with the million things harvested (other than fertilizer)?
- Dragging and dropping each book from the inventory into the book shelf after buying like 20 of them.
- The world is currently pretty boring, and the loading screens are frequent and long (However, bare in mind that the world may be more boring to me because I chase needs decay more than being able to do anything else).
- Did you know when you plop a triangle room and try to adjust it in any way it will not stay a triangle? Makes the triangle room tool pretty null and void when you just have to do it yourself anyways.
**********- Annnddddd... alarm is going off... my house is burning down. Where is the fire department?
**Suggestions?**
- Just do exactly what you're doing. See the pros and cons from the player base and adjust accordingly.
- Seasons.
- More depth to the world (like sims freeplay has). The upgrading of world locations.
**Overall thoughts?**
- Was there no beta? The games current state has some serious bugs, to a point of being unplayable for some (3 of my sims have been "stuck" at work, greyed out tab, can't see needs, yet they're home. Had to start a new household.). There are a lot of good things going, but not having a "storyline" like the beginning of sims3 killed a lot of the joy in first playing for me (as well as made it much harder to learn everything). Not going to lie, not having some storyline families with pre-set goals was a very sad point in beginning my gameplay. There's a lot of things that have no information (example, what the heck is up with the mega-scrolling list of individual, 2 stack, 5 stack, 8 stack, 70 stack etc random plants in my botanists inventory? I understand fertilizer, but otherwise what the hell do I do with them? Or all the random stuff I find by digging?). Not to mention the inventory is a complete disaster zone. Desperately needs some form of organization. Some serious love went into the game in some parts, but got neglected in others. It has the potential to be fun and blow S3 out of the water, but not in its current state.
