It's the game and I wish I had a solution. I've noticed game performance getting worse with each of the last few game DLC's. I'm even getting CTD's which I've never had before, but since Cottage Living my game freezes and crashes now and then. It's especially bad if you're playing live and go into build mode to access your household inventory or to make some changes. I notice significant lag in the game after doing so.
