The chinese outrage and East Asians arguing with eachother on the sims latest tweet is a perfect example of why I believe it's more harmful then helpful. It's like the snowy escape nightmare flashbacks all over again. When instead EA could just focus on adding to game mechanics and fun game like things that everyone from every culture could enjoy without human division. And clearly let everyone know where they stand. That this is JUST a game with all fictional content.
The way videos games always were.
It's actually kinda of sad. That we as humans would never reach a state after all these years where there is no fighting and division amongst us for any reason. I notice even outside of the sims people have just become more divided and are always arguing in the name of diversity and inclusivity.
It's kind of like we took two steps forward and three steps back.
