The Sims 4 focused aim & execution on inclusivity /representation - helpful or harmful?

Do you think the Sims 4's execution & aim of being more 'inclusive' has been more so helpful or harmful to the game/series as a whole?
Their goal of being "inclusive" (for some select groups) has gone past being inclusive and into the "shoving it in your face". The execution has been done poorly in that they're being very unbalanced with being "inclusive" with lately everything being for select groups which is actually excluding and ignoring a lot of others.
