If they use Ginuwine's "Pony" when/if they ever do a trailer about horses... then we can talk about non-kid-friendly themes. Yeah. :o

Now Im not saying that they should use that song if and when we get a pack about horses...Im just saying...I wouldnt be against it. They probably shouldnt! But...I wouldnt say no to it.
Now if you excuse me I have to listen to a particular song on repeat for like the next 3 hours.
On topic, first time listening to that song? I got a good chuckle out of it. Its not what I would listen to, but its what the kids are listening to so I dont really care. I thought it was a little cringy, but that's all. - SheriSimSeasoned HotshotI think it would be nice if it did mean a change for the direction of the game, but, I think that’s just wishful thinking.
- taydevsimNew Spectatorif anything, the sims 4 seems to be leaning even more into childish antics, so no.
- evilyn_37Rising AdventurerI loved the song and the trailer. Don’t think they mean anything though. I wish it did.
- SilentK008Seasoned NewcomerI thought the trailer for the spa-day-refresh was really good. Like the song as well.
ROM had K.Flay - Blood in The Cut. That song did not magically give us more adult themes going forward so I guess that it will be the same as ever. It's just me guessing here. - EmmaVaneSeasoned Veteran

This game is, and has ALWAYS been, rated T for Teen. While there are some 'kid friendly' things, it is not and never has been a kids game. There have always, and I do mean always, been warnings for content.
I REALLY want to comment on some of the comments about the choice of music and what they sound like but I also don't want to lose my posting privleges.
The original Sims game was actually rated for kids aged 7+ in the UK. Some of the later packs and collections were 12+, likely due to some of the risqué additions.
You can't see a rating on the original game case, but the Double and Triple Deluxe versions (containing base game and various expansions) are clearly marked as 7+. The complete collection is rated 12+.

I meant Deluxe edition for Sims & Double Deluxe for Sims2 - I doubt it, unfortunately. A lot of younger audiences like this song, even if it's a bit more mature.
In fact, they may be trying to attract newer generations by using more current music. "LeGardePourpre;c-17992168" wrote:
The Sims is probably Teen rated not because of the Woohoo interaction, but because of the LGBT and same sex romance.
The most of countries think a kid is too young to "understand" it.
I doubt that its because of lgbt themes. There are lgbt characters being starred in childrens shows. But no childrens shows has people having sex in garbage dumpsters, "free love" policies or streakers. Besides like 50 sex spots, there lots of innuendo in game & the like, which I see why its teen. Also its M in some countries.- Not only Sims4 is 18+ in Russia 'cause of LGBT but Sims Mobile is completely prohibited here 'cause of the same reasons.
