For me this is still the biggest dealbreaker for the sims 4,things like toddlers and pools can be patched in later but I don't think the size of the world can get any bigger so it look like we are stuck with small worlds for the next five years. :/And I also miss lots like shops, schools and restaurants hope these will be added later. There is something off about all the rivers we've seen flowing around the houses...so I wandered off to investigate. I found this on MTS:Apparently they make the neighborhoods look bigger by adding decorative houses and roads. The only playable area is the circle with the arrow pointing to it.

I agree CK. In some of the pictures you see sims walking on the sides of houses and through yards and I find that a bit odd. If I see someone walking on the side of my home I will call the cops because I think it's a burglar or peeping tom. And when I walk outside, I might see a few dog walkers, but rarely do I see 20 sims just gathered on the sidewalk chatting it up. The most you see is someone going from their car to their home or relaxing in their yard. I think as people play, the illusion will quickly fade. Those tiny lots do not have much space so the most sims will do is use a few objects and stand around chatting or looking into space, which I've seen plenty of in the videos. This is that area zoomed in. I see that area in the background and I want to play there. I assumed that would be a neighborhood, but apparently, it's just decoration. And that area has been featured in many screenshots, lit up at night with christmas lights around them. I never thought we wouldn't get to play those lots. The extent of their false advertising is working my last nerve. Seriously.

Lets hope Sims 5 will be a remastered version of Sims 3.

This boggles my mind.
It boggled my mind when it was just words, but the image...gah!

If that whole map was the neighborhood, I would love this.
It would be a suitable compromise to TS3. You have to look at it as an improvement on TS2. You have your lot plus this stuff surrounding it.

But if I had a choice. I want all of that open. I want to observe all that is going. I want my sims doing things all over the place and be able to jump back and forth as I please. I hope they sell towns with larger neighborhoods for simmers with the computers to run them, or provide a tool so I can create my own. Actually, that would be better.

When we were told how many lots max including commercial and residential, I plotted it out on paper. I knew long before this just how ridiculously small this was going to be. Looking at screenshots of the various neighborhood angles I could tell that it wasn't spread out, very compact. To see the size of the map now, no surprise whatsoever. To see the style of the map, utter disappointment. Did they run out of watercolors? It's soooo... freaking app-y. Facebook-y, and not in a good way.

IT's £60 over here to buy it, and E3 didn't exactly fill me with hope.

I wonder if lots can be mixed. Can we place the gym and library on the same lot? If I were actually going to buy this game, I'd delete everything and make one huge community lot containing everything and the rest residential lots. Man, that is way too small. I can't believe they call those "neighborhoods". How about blocks or communities, definitely not neighborhoods and this definitely is not a world. Try village or township. And no municipalities? Unincorporated? Tax free?

At least loading screens between worlds are faster and you don't lost relations when you travel.

From what I've read so far, you cannot edit the town, but you can edit individual lots (like bulldoze one of the houses and build another). If I am incorrect, feel free to correct me.

Faster than what? Have we seen gameplay of sims moving between Oasis Springs and Willow Creek? The loading screens that I've seen so far have been between 15-25 seconds.

Fourteen residential lots? Only three empty lots? As a builder, I feel like I've just been told to go sleep in shoebox (& pay $60 for the privilege of doing so :roll: )

I'm still suspicious over those pictures. I'm still not positive if those are the whole world pictures or just traveling pictures.

I mean I get that they are tiny. I don't mind tiny so much. I never used much of the neighborhood anyway while playing. (building is another story)

But I don't really believe that they would make the entire world white and grey. I can see that in a traveling picture where the colored section is the part of the neighborhood that is active for the family. But I'm not sure if they would actually do that in a normal neighborhood view.
