The Sims are so imperatives

I've been playing The Sims since I was a teenager, and I've always found AUTONOMY to be very random when enabled. What I mean is that Sims can't sit idle for at least 10 seconds, doing random things. I know there's an option to turn it off, but I like to leave it ON because it's a life simulation, so they need to bring life to life within the simulator. My idea/suggestion is to polish autonomy further, giving them freedom, but without doing RANDOM THINGS. If you think the same, or are getting what I mean, share your idea here.
