- For me it would be interesting to have sim with full autonomy who would interact with others in unexpected ways.
- Seems like the roommate function. It would be nice if it wasn't buggy and they didn't unexpectedly move out without giving any notice. They also put an age limit on it.
Having parents live with you and making them NPC would be nice that way you can at least have their urns. "Wolfium;c-17422086" wrote:

That's a good point. Like when you're asleep with your spouse and all of a sudden your spouse goes out and starts flirting with the mail carrier. lol"kaylin205;c-17422091" wrote:

Well, I wasn't even taking into consideration the thought of them moving themselves out. There would have to be some limitations for sure.- DaWaterRat5 years agoSeasoned AceI'm not sure I see what the difference is between having them as NPC's vs. having sims with full autonomy on that you generally ignore would be, unless you're thinking it would free up some slots in the household? Or to be able to play in lots you have set up as row houses or townhouses or something like that, where you'd have 3-4 different families living in the same lot.
Because right I do that right now, more or less. When I'm focusing on a particular sim's story, I mostly rely on autonomy for the sim to take care of their needs and only check in when my focal sim is doing something that takes a while or sleeping. They may as well be NPC's.
But then, I seem to be luckier than most when it comes to autonomy. "DaWaterRat;c-17422101" wrote:

That's a fair point.
The way I was imagining it was that you would have like a "manage household" option (which we do have. But in there, have the option to make certain sims NPC so that when you're scrolling through the family, you don't scroll through them and don't know what they're about to do. Like if you have an evil sim, you don't realize that that sim is about to go get in a fight or set something on fire or whatever. If that makes sense.- DaWaterRat5 years agoSeasoned Ace

Makes enough sense that I know how to vote on your poll now.
It could be interesting, but if it were an option, I'm not sure how much I'd actually use it, because I don't "scroll" through my family - I hardly use the keyboard at all when playing. But I can see some benefit in not knowing a sim's condition and therefore not needing to check to see why they're uncomfortable (or sad, or tense, or whatever.) - OldeSimsFan5 years agoSeasoned AceWe already have them, the dogs & cats. One of the big complaints was that they were not controlable or even able to look at data. Why expand the problem?

I'm not saying make it mandatory. I'm saying make it an option."FurSimsOfficial;c-17422174" wrote:
Once i stated that as a future feature or perhaps in the next series of The sims, i'd like to create something like 'temporary households' beside your main household. Like you just select a bunch of sims, choose which ones you actually want to control and the rest become NPC's for that time being until you select them in your playable temporary household.
Sometimes when I go out with my sim and his/her friends, I kind of want to control them all and create a certain scene for my storyline, so making them as a temporary household for that time being would be perfect. It wouldn't make you loose your actual household, it's just something you can set up for whatever part of the story you want to play.
Creating households that have npc's in them is also kind of the same thing, but my idea could be more expanded even. Sometimes you want Sims around, but you don't actually want to play with them. And sometimes you want Sims around and control them. Like make THEM actually ask your sim to marry them instead of the other way around. You know what I mean? Would be great! :)
That's an interesting concept too!
