No thank you. If i want to play the other games to have those things - I would go play them. I already paid for those things once, that is why each one will always be different. Don't need exact repeats when you can just load up those games and play those. The new always needs a new version.
The older games have older graphics. Surely one can understand that people would like to have the old mechanisms but with updated visuals... 2014 resolution/quality rather than 2005 quality. I think what people would like is the updated engine/visuals with the older game-play features. To some of us that would be "best of both worlds."
Additionally, older games stop being supported so if there are any bugs or problems or if they don't work with a new OS version, you're stuck.
I agree, I prefer an engine that is flexible and allows the game to be played how it was designed to play with excellent features which Sims 4 to me lacks. The reason folks go back to older versions it is because of what it did even if for some it was hard for them to play. EA/Maxis took an lot out of the Sims for Sims 4 to run and again for me I can't give kudos for that because I can't play Sims 4 the way I really want to play. @SimChessack, this is not addressed at you for I agree with your post. I now for me SIms 4 is like hum drum to me and no matter what pack comes out it does not give me any peps as the past versions did. One thing about older games that was good I do like the remasters and one company I am glad that does exist is Good Old Games for they allow you to enjoy games from the past and all the hard work is done for you even though if you have knowledge on DOSBox or similar programs you can expand your library.
