I was just wondering if the pregnancy system was related to emotions on the pregnancy test. In order for the test to fail both sims have to get a performed poorly moodlet than the sim that didn't conceive get a failure to conceive moodlet, which you can make it last for a while by taking a screen shot and labeling it as a sad memory and she will act sad in unruffled parts of the house. So if you want to complete the try for baby whim without worrying about pregnancy make sure one sim is angry and the other is in a good mood. Once that happens do a romatic interaction with a angry sim, this will lead to both getting a awkward moodlet, now you can do romantic interactions and embarrassment is the only emotion if both sims are in that you can woohoo and not get pregnant. After that go to toilet for the test and she will look at it and shake her head no and star to cry and your get a side moodlet.
Here are the strengths of emotions
Primary Emotions Higher than non primary emotions.
Happy weighs more than Sad, Sad weighs more than logic or confident if only one point and not boosted by happiness. Sadness is boosted by Sad and uncomfortable even though it doesn't show. Anger and Embarrassment and playful is greater than all of them, except happy. Sims that are Sad and Angry can not imitate whoohoo, but other sims that are happy or flirty or neutral can. Sims that are angry will reject romantic advances making giving both sims the embarrassed moodlet awkward conversation which is stronger than anger, and now the angry sim can whoowhoo doing so when embarrassed will lead to a failure to conceive moodlet which is Sad for the sim that did the pregnancy test. Both sims have to be embarrassed to get the unsatisfactory whoowhoo or the performed poorly moodlet. This will give a no on the pregnancy test. If on sim is flirty they will get a successful whoowhool moodlet, which Sad sims will accept whoowhoo advances Angry Sims won't. So now you know the emotions play a roll in the game and all it takes for a sim baby is one sim to have a successful whoowhoo.
I don't think pregnancy system is based on the emotions for the test. Yes, there are factors like anger that would allow the sim to reject romantic advances and have an inability to, but performance doesn't seem to apply. I've had general "pleasant woohoo" moodlets for both partners that had ended with "failed to conceive," and a couple "performed poorly" ones that gave me babies. It's a nice theory though. Maybe not as a determining factor, but it probably works as an influence? I'd like to try testing it sometime.
