This Feature should be Added to the Game and Gallery

The ability to share the worlds we create and redo. = Who else would like this ???

I just started making Newcrest into a world of my own creation with different type houses in each section.

Wish I could share it.
  • @catmando830 It's just your save file, so for example, I could upload my save numbered Slot_00000002.save and you could download it and put it in your saves folder in the The Sims 4 folder under My Documents, and when you started your game, you would have a new "load game" option which would be named whatever I named it, and if you chose to load that save to play then everything I have done in my game, from created sims, storylines, relationships, houses, and community lots would be the same as it was when I uploaded that save file.

Any changes you make in your own game will save to that save file. If you do nothing to any other worlds besides one, and I put your save file in my game, then I would only see changes to the world you changed and the other worlds would look like they did by default. That's why you can have multiple save files with different sims and houses in the exact same worlds over and over again but the houses and sims could be different from each other because the saves are different.

Where do I upload it, so someone could download it, and does that compromise my computers security?

There's several places you can upload it to. A lot of people upload it to their google drive. I upload mine to Simsfileshare site, it's free and is used only for Sims files.

And, it won't compromise your computer, you're essentially just transferring a copy of your save file to a file storage site on the internet. Nobody has access to your computer or files.

Sorry to keep asking you more questions, but how do I know which save is which and how do I upload it? Do I make a copy and then copy & paste it?
  • This would be awesome in theory but I don't see how it would work. Wouldn't the gallery get overloaded in huge save files? It's already slow as it is. Plus what if someone uploads a corrupted save? Hmmmmm
  • I love this idea! On console, there is no way to upload or download a save file that I know of. I don't even know how to modify a world. Didn't even think that was a thing! If it's possible on console, can you please share this???
  • Hi there! A quick heads-up: I moved this thread to the Game Feedback section. :)
