Time Spent on The Sims 4

So, what is the purpose of this thread? How are we meant to react? :)

Troubleshooting bugs - most of my time.

Gameplay...several (several) hours worth. lol

Well, I can't give you an exact amount of time as I don't have a timer set when I play :)

CAS: Not that much - only when engineering kids, my played Sims are premades (some minutes)
Building: I only build my played Sims' home (10-15 minutes)
Modification: I often change something on their home lot
Gameplay: Unlimited, aging off

CAS: I usually only create one sim so probably an hour or so at the most.

Building: Depends, small homes maybe an hour and a half, but medium can take me a lot longer. I built a house one time that took me 10 hours or so. I kept changing things.

Modifications: I do it throughout the game play. I’ll add lots though and that usually takes 30 minutes max. Townies though I am constantly going and editing so no for sure there.

Gameplay: for sure unlimited as well. I’m always discovering new things.

Mine is dependent on if I'm just making a sim to just get out there and play or test something or if I'm creating a character based off another known character (TV, video game, movies.. ect)

CAS: Half hour to 3 hours. I have spent most of the day there a few times. (I might be watching the movie for details in dressing habits or looking up pictures). I might even look up fan sites for a synopsis on the character to help decide traits ect. I might also find one on the gallery.. but then spend at least an hour changing them to suit me because the creator didn't see things like I do or didn't have all the packs to dress them the way I would.

Building: Could plop them in a game house or starter home (30 mins or less). Or I could search to see if anyone recreated the homes or were inspired to ... then I might drop them in my game and it works or I gnash my teeth over not being able to have my sim move around in the build then end up trying to build it myself (sometimes it works) 1-6 hours.

Modifications: I do this all the time for townies houses they need beds or toddler beds or something that came in a later pack. Modifications to gallery homes could be hours both because I have different ideas or I don't like the flow.

Gameplay: Unlimited if I finally am satisfied with the above.

I'm not sure on specific times.

CAS depends on what I'm doing when I just want a build save I might randomize a couple things and set everything in a few minutes, then my own sims I don't feel I spend that much time on trying to recreate sim versions of characters as closely as I can. that takes longer.

There have been times when tiny builds haven't taken that long but I have spent anywhere from several hours to multiple days on builds.

Modifications of townies, houses, or locations anywhere from a few minutes to an hour but I don't really do much with townies there are times when I might tweak one or two outfits and change if they can get pregnant or not and that only take a few minutes. Builds...depends on what I what I do like to change up the houses themselves a lot.

Gameplay can sometimes be very short if I'm looking for bugs after a patch or testing cc but usually unlimited when it's time for sims I can just play as long as I like which is usually a while. There are even times when I take a break for a bit and play for a while in different sessions on the same day.

Most my time goes to gameplay.

Most of the time I don't really follow that order when I play. Usually when I go to play TS4, I've already made up my mind beforehand that I either want to make sims, do builds, or just play. So if I'm starting a new file, I just use the sims or builds I made when I was in the mood to do those things, with some tweaking if I want to play a certain type of story- which would take about an hour or less.

Create A Sim - 30mins to several hrs depending on if it's time to dress the townies or not(shudders).

Building a house or locations - 1 to 18 hrs depending on location

Modifications - About 30 mins to 2hrs a time I play.

Gameplay - ermmm....I have a problem? It's unlimited and I can spend forever just playing it. Which leads to spending forever on the other stuff. Currently my Obsession is the Willingham family and Brindelton Bay. I've been working on getting that game just right this week though I've finally gotten a season/lifespan balance that makes me happy(I may half it but I'm trying a 56 day year with: 42 days preggers, 1 yr as a baby, 2 yrs as a toddler, 4 yrs as a child, 3 yrs as a teen, 8 yrs as a young adult, 7 yrs as an adult, and 3 as an elder).
