But didn't we get Cities: Skylines in the end?
Well, yeah. Different company tho.
Does it matter? Is it the brand loyalty or the gaming experience that we are after? We got an outstanding city builder and manager; it just wasn't called Sim City.
No I'm just saying it's not like EA understood what it did wrong and went back and remade the game better and not a steaming pile of garbage. They still likely have no idea why sim city failed so badly.
I love cities:skylines and I'm glad it rose from the ashes of sim city. But at the same time I feel like sim city should have been a learning experience for EA but it clearly wasn't.
That's AAA gaming. And that's not to say that there aren't AAA titles that I enjoy. I'm, closing in on 6000 hours in The Sims 4, and I love it. I also regularly play Street Fighter V and Overwatch. At the same time, I acknowledge "Big Gaming" for what it is.
