- That is a tough question because the two sims I love the most Danielle and Londyn just evolved into becoming beloved. I truly feel like those sims who you really bond with just sort of happen organically. My absolute favorite was totally organic.
When I first created Danielle three years ago she was just another sim. I created her from Kat Jenkins. When I first laid eyes on Kat I felt like she had this 'it' vibe that would be fun to have around. Back then I never thought she'd become as near and dear to my heart as she is. Now, I rarely start a save with anybody else, and when I do I work her in somewhere and then end up playing her most of all.
Londyn you could say was destined to be special, but like Danielle, as I was creating her I had no idea just how deeply bonded with her I was about to become. I created her specifically to hook up with Danielle, but Londyn's personality turned out to be really endearing. I had no idea she would be as big a sweetheart she is. She is a bundle of joy to watch, and her chemistry with Danielle is amazing. They hit it off right from the start. With the story they're in I started playing in a hands off manner that I never had before. Without any prompting from me they gravitated towards each other and they are nearly inseparable. - excusemydust3 years agoSeasoned ScoutWhether it's the game mechanics or not, I find that there is no template for creating an engaging sim--because regardless of traits/skills/careers/families, all sims tend to act pretty similarly. I think finding a sim engaging is directly proportional to how much you pour into the sim--if you play them and acknowledge their experiences and traits, then you'll find them more animated and complex. That being said, OshinSims on YouTube has several videos on how to create more interesting sims. Her ideas and practices have been very helpful for my gameplay.
- cyncie3 years agoSeasoned AceThis is hard for me to say because I always start with a character that’s pretty much fully developed. So, since they’re my own characters out of my own psyche, or characters I immediately relate to, I’m already invested in their story. The ones that I play the longest, though, are the ones I can branch out into other stories when my initial one concludes.

Your world and Sims are awesome from what I've seen. I'm trying to come up with a character, but I'm out of practice... - wildirishbanshee3 years agoSeasoned AceOh, I thought you meant Ultimate Sims, as in the challenge. That will keep you playing a sim for a long time lol, but not sure if it will endear you to them.

Thank you! - The ones I raise from birth are always the dearest to me :)
- That really IS a tough one. My favorite sim ever I think had a broken personality. She was just whacky and did some really odd things that I've never seen since. Like she'd go in the bathroom and just sit in the empty tub, or she'd cook a full dinner then autonomously stick the whole thing in the fridge without eating any. They were probably bugs, but she was a sim with the traits, "Creative, Genius and romantic" but she'd wear her formal clothing to go in the pool (Was NOT erratic) She was just goofy and broken and totally lovable. I miss her.
So, basically, I don't think I've ever had an "Ultimate" sim. Just a silly goofy one that stole my heart.
