I think the fastest way, from my experience is to mentor another sim at the gym if your sim has level 10 body skill. Or perhaps other stuff that you can mentor like chess where you need a level 10 logic.
That might be a bit hard, so I suggest just try to keep the conversation pleasant and also tell some jokes here and there.
