Toddler schedule?

My toddlers sleep for almost 12 hours at night, so their energy bar is full in the morning. They wake up at 7am, go to the bathroom, and then eat breakfast. Then they can play or work on skills for the rest of the day. At around 5pm, they eat dinner. I get them to go to the bathroom again, and then they go to sleep at 7pm. I have my toddlers on a very strict schedule because I like to micromanage all my sims. If you keep them on a schedule, it's easier to control their needs.

for the first few days my toddlers eat sleep and pee. even getting up in the middle of the night to pee and eat. If it's too early to be getting up once they have eaten and peed, I send them back to bed. which includes the adults, because they have been up potty training. in the morning again eat pee and play. I have found once they can potty them selves things get easier, and once they have a few Imagination points and thinking points, things get a lot easier. Easy enough that mum and dad don't have to watch them all the time, and can go of to paint, tend the garden or even make another baby. lol this afternoon I'll be playing with the Goths with triplets. Oh what fun.

I usually get my toddlers in bed by 9 at the latest and usually do eat right before bed. I let them sleep until they either wake up on their own or the hunger need is in the red. If they have to go the bathroom I tend to let them use the diaper just because it's less disruptive to their sleep schedule and there's usually plenty of time for potty training. I usually will let my toddlers nap if their energy bar dips into the yellow but I don't always let them take a full nap only enough to get them back in the green again. I prefer to send my toddlers to bed in the red and cranky, because I seem to get less nightmares that way in the early days (granted I also have the parents read them to bed and have the lullaby channel playing) until they can get their skills up enough that it's not a potential issue any longer.

I rotate my skilling between letting the parent help them out and having them do it on their own. I tend to rotate between each skill when they top one off a level they move onto something different. The Wabbit Tablet is nice if you have multiples but I tend to avoid it if I have a Singleton since it's a bit slower for skilling.

I played game with one caregiver and seven toddlers (long life). Now toddlers are kids, all of them top-notch :o

When I started, the first thing I cared about was hunger. Party meal always was on table for toddlers to grab.

Since they were dirty and had low attention, caregiver gave each one bubble bath, what raised both of these bars. Immediately after bath, caregiver flashed toddler cards (raises fun)/was teaching toddler potty (raises attention). Other toddlers had to be on their own, but they always had food. Then he took another toddler then repeated.

When they had thinking level 2, they learned to sleep in bed (before they were napping anywhere and always were tired). From that point game became easier, because they were rested to some point and there was more time to work with them. Fortynately, they almost never had nightmare, maybe because of night light.

Communication, imagination and movement (two-level house with stairs) they gained on their own.

I rarely pay attention to the clock in the game, and have pretty much reverted to how I played the Sims2 (where I started). I do, however, keep watch on my Sims' needs, particularly the toddlers. Get them potty trained, and they will see to their own needs, pretty much. I also make sure a Sim serves whatever meal it is so that the toddler can help themselves. Yes, I've had cranky, hangry toddlers, but I just have their parents deal with it. LOL

I can't cope with the high chair - the snacks given to the toddler in a high chair barely fill them up. A proper meal (I drag it to the floor in their room) will fill them up longer. I also have my toddler nap in the early afternoon, so they can get to bedtime without being in the red. They often stay asleep for 2-ish hours AFTER their sleep bar is fully green so IMO there's no reason for them to have the sleep need go into the red. Breakfast is waiting for them on the floor of their room when they wake up too.

And their potty is in the room too.

You can give your toddler a full regular meal on a high chair if you want to. Just drag a serving to the chair and set them in it. Just letting them grab and go is way easier since you won't run the chance of them deciding to knock everything on the floor getting no food in them at all.

This is very helpful, my tops are never really on a schedule and they take at least one nap during the day.

Like @LiaRose1435, I like to micro manage all of my sims. So I have my toddlers on a schedule, but it also depends on how their parents are. So some of my toddlers have more free rein than others. Normally they are up no later than 8 am, eat breakfast, get bathed, go to the potty, then I let them play a bit.

After one of the parents will help with with a skill or two, they get read a book. Normally it's snack time, so they either get juice or cookies, and sometimes both. More playtime. The majority of my sims will start dinner around 5 - 6 pm, so that's when the toddler will eat as well. Play a bit more, story time, then in bed no later than 9 pm. And everything starts over the next day. :D

you must have exceptional toddlers to get that all done in one day. my toddlers only have a bath when their hygiene goes in the yellow. a story if there all there and awake at the same time. (twins or triplets) they need a nap or sleep in the afternoon. and sometimes they have to get up in the night to eat and pee. even when they have eaten and peed before bed. Their hunger, bladder and energy goes down way too fast. I never use the highchair, they eat from a family plate.
